Rental items must be returned in the same condition as received, free from new damage, stains, or alterations, and within the agreed timeframe. Normal cleaning is the lender's responsibility. Renters cannot make any alterations or modifications without written consent, as even minor changes may result in financial liability.
In what condition must I return my rental item?
All rental items must be returned in exactly the same condition in which they were received, excluding standard post-rental cleaning handled by the lender.
The item must be:
Free from new damage
Free from permanent stains
Unaltered
Structurally intact
Returned within the agreed rental timeframe
Normal wear consistent with careful use may be acceptable, but any unauthorised changes to the item are strictly prohibited.
What happens if I accidentally cause damage?
It helps to be honest about this, before the rental is returned. If the Lender finds damage upon the return, they will organise the repair and send you a Charge Request through the app, triggering the formal dispute process. Failure to engage with disputes is a breach of our terms and conditions.
Please note all Charge Requests include a 15% service fee.
Who is responsible for cleaning after a rental?
Normal cleaning responsibility falls with the lender.
This includes routine washing or dry cleaning consistent with standard garment care following short-term wear.
Renters are not required to arrange professional cleaning unless otherwise agreed with the lender.
Am I allowed to make alterations or modifications to a rented item?
No. As a renter, you are not authorised to make any cosmetic or structural changes to any item you have rented. Rental items remain the property of the lender at all times. Any permanent or temporary modification without explicit written consent may result in financial liability.
What counts as an unauthorised alteration?
Unauthorised alterations include, but are not limited to:
Pinning garments in a way that causes marks, pulls, or structural stress
Adding accessories that alter the structure or fabric (e.g., stitched additions, glued embellishments)
Dyeing or recolouring the item
Cutting or resizing
Tailoring or altering the fit
Any structural or cosmetic adjustment that changes the original condition of the item
Even seemingly minor adjustments can permanently affect the garment’s integrity and resale or rental value.
