If a rental item isn’t collected within the expected time frame (e.g. Royal Mail’s 18-day holding period), By Rotation may apply a Non-Collection Penalty Fee.
This applies in both directions:
When the Lender sends the item to the Renter, and
When the Renter returns the item to the Lender
⚠️ When might this fee be applied?
We may charge a Non-Collection Fee if:
The recipient was the only person able to collect or return the item.
The recipient did not respond to our communications during the collection window.
The item wasn’t collected, despite delivery access and multiple notifications.
💰 How is the fee calculated?
The Non-Collection Fee is lower than a standard Late Fee.
Each case is assessed individually.
The fee will never exceed the replacement value of the item (as set out in our Late Fee Policy).
While renters and lenders are responsible for arranging and tracking postage, we encourage everyone to act quickly when collecting items to avoid delays, missed rentals, or penalties.
