The platform has two inspection windows: renters have 24 hours from the rental start date to approve delivery or report issues, while lenders have 14 calendar days after rental end to confirm safe return or report damage, missing items, or delays.
The rental platform features two separate inspection windows to protect both parties: a Delivery Inspection for renters to verify the item upon arrival, and a Return Inspection for lenders to check the item once it has been returned.
🛍️ 1. Delivery Inspection (For Renters)
This is time for the renter to check that the item arrived safely, functions properly, and matches the listing.
Window duration: Opens on the rental start date and closes after 24 hours (at 23:59).
Your options:
🟢 If everything looks great: Tap Rental Received & Approved: Tap this if the item arrived in good condition. The rental immediately becomes active.
🔴 If there is an issue: Tap Report an Issue if the item is damaged, defective, not as described, or missing. You will be prompted to submit details and clear photos of the item and its packaging.
What if the lender never marked the item as sent, or it didn't arrive?
The 24-hour window still opens automatically on your start date. You must select Report an Issue before the window closes and choose one of the following
"Item not delivered" if your item is delayed in transit
"Lender Unresponsive" if no tracking was added and you are unsure if it shipped at all.
Note: If 24 hours pass without any action, the window closes automatically. The rental becomes active, and you forfeit your right to open a delivery dispute for that order.
📦 2. Return Inspection (For Lenders)
The Return Inspection window gives lenders time to inspect the returned item for damages, missing components, or return delays.
Window duration: Starts when the final day of the rental ends (at 23:59) and remains open for 14 calendar days.
Your options:
🟢 If it’s back safe and sound: Tap Returned Safely & No Damages. The rental immediately moves to the review and feedback stage.
🔴 If there is damage or a delay: Tap Report an Issue. You will be prompted to describe the issue, upload supporting photos, or select "Late Return".
Common Return Scenarios:
- What happens if the renter sends the rental back early? As soon as the renter adds tracking, the order updates to in-transit. When you receive the package, you can confirm receipt after the final day of the rental period and proceed straight to feedback.
- What happens if the renter doesn't provided tracking? This won't affect the inspection window. At 23:59 on the final rental day, you can report an issue. The system does not trigger automatic late penalties, but the renter receives a push reminder.
