This process ensures trust, protects against theft, and streamlines dispute resolution. A small, one-time verification fee applies. Verified data enables swift action against violations, including suspension or legal action if necessary.
To keep our community wardrobe safe and stylish, all Rotators are identity-verified. We require formal identification to ensure that every lender and renter is exactly who they say they are.
Note: You won't be able to request your first rental until your ID check is complete.

Legal Details: Your full name and current address.
Photo ID: A clear snap of your Passport or Driving Licence.
A Quick Selfie: To match your face to your ID (don't worry, this isn't posted to your profile!).
How does it work?
The Process: When you sign up or prep for your first rental, Stripe will prompt you to upload your documents.
The Approval: Verification is instant, before your first rental payment. If your ID is declined, your payment and rental won't go through.
The Fee: A small, one-time verification fee of £1.25 is applied to your very first rental to cover the cost of secure processing. You'll see this in the price breakdown.
⚠️ Keeping the community safe
While 99% of rotations go perfectly, we take bad actors seriously.
If a user violates our terms, attempts theft, or causes financial damage, we use verified data to pursue suspension and, if necessary, legal action.
Please note that identity verification is not limited to a passport or driving license, and By Rotation may request additional forms of verification from any user on our platform at any time.
